As a kid, I got caught looking at my vulva in the mirror, I can still feel the embarrassment of getting caught and remember being told, “That’s not very nice.”
End of conversation… ever.
According to research done by Bodyform, 73% of women don’t know what their vulva is. 63% of 18-24 years olds surveyed have felt embarrassed about their vulva.
I wonder how many people feel like they have someone they can talk to or ask honest questions about their genitals?
It’s empowering to love and accept your body as it is, but before we can do that we have to get to know our bodies.
