I needed to make another cake before returning to pies. I hope you’ll indulge me…or with me.. in one more.
I’ve always struggled with body image. It hurts me so deeply to see us unable to love and appreciate these bodies that carry us, work for us, enable us to experience life.
We internalize the narrative that we aren’t quite good enough and that happiness is just on the other side of x,y, or z.
Loving ourselves seems like it should come easily. Instead, it is one of the hardest things we have to do: be willing to love ourselves exactly as we are.
